to announce having signed up our 2008 Overseas Player.
He is Simon
Stolcman, from Australia.
Simon is a top
order batsman, who bowls "a bit of part-time medium pace".
Having played
for Kirk Deighton, in the Wetherby League, for the past 2 seasons, and
Ilkley in the Airedale & Wharfedale League during 2003, Simon has scored
many runs.
Whilst playing
at Kirk Deighton, Simon scored 2,000 runs at an average of 60, with a
highest score of 227 not out.
Back in
Australia, Simon plays in the 1st XI for Tea Tree Gully C C, in the
South Australian Grade Competition (the stepping stone to 1st class
cricket).
