Collingham 1XI made the perfect start to the 2013 season when they took maximum 6 points against Ben Rhydding in a re-run of last years Waddilove Cup Final.
Winning the toss, Skipper Anderson showed no hesitation in deciding to bat first. The home team struggling at times eventually set a reasonable total of 189-9, allrounder Dave Girling (69no) launching the visiting bowlers to all corners of the ground. Ever reliable Brian Leigh also contributed 46.
Collingham got off to a fantastic start to the season with a win over Bradford League side Cleckheaton. Following the double winning season last year it was crucial to get off to a good start. Having strengthened the team with the signings of Dave Girling, Ryan Sharrocks, Jack Harrison and return of overseas player Matt Fielding Collingham were at full strength up against a very strong Cleckheaton team.
The long anticipated Collingham CC pool tournament is almost upon us. Saturday 9th March is your chance to prove you're the best pool player in the club!

Collingham CC are pleased to announce the signing of Jack Harrison from Olicanian CC. Jack is a wicket keeper batsman who previously played 2nd XI cricket for Collingham in 2010 before rejoining Olicanian CC to play first team cricket.
Ronnie Irani, the former Lancashire, Essex and England Cricketer, and now regular partner to Alan Brazil on a daily TalkSport show, is this years star guest at the Collingham CC annual Sporting Dinner.
The event will be held at Wetherby Golf Club on the 18th April. Tickets are priced at £30 each which includes a three course meal.
The 2013 season will see the Collingham Snr teams wearing Adidas kit as worn in last years cup final.
