Collingham first team player Oliver Hardaker will be disapointed to find out that his world record score of 329 was broken at the weekend by David Taylor, player coach at Hampshire ECB premiership side, Totton & Eling.CC.
Ollie, who joined Collingham last season, set the world record while playing for his former club Horsforth in 2010.
80 minutes was all it took for Collingham 2XI to roll over a weak Bardsey side and claim all 6 points.
Winning the toss and electing to bat (just as well) the Collingham bowlers set to work. Excellent swing bowling from Adam Wetherall (5-10) proved too much for the Barsdey top order as wicket after wicket fell with the scorers barely having to work the scoreboard.
The weather for once stayed dry however Collingham XI suffered another defeat this weekend, this time at the hands of Bilton.
On a green but good looking wicket, the toss was always going to be an advantage and again Collingham lost and were asked to bat first.
Following the recent overhaul of the Collinghamcc website, the club now has now joined the twitter.

Following last weeks washout, Collingham 2XI got their 2012 campaign underway in a tight game against Halifax side, Illingworth.

Collingham certainly had a bad day at the office on Saturday. A 96 over game was played and although it was a wet and miserable day, it would be fair to say that Otley adjusted to the conditions better than their visitors. Great credit must go to Otley CC and the 2 umpires for enabling the game to go ahead at all.
